Physical Education

As part of our commitment to tackling childhood obesity we have created a bespoke 4-week programme that has a core focus for every child to understand the following:

  • Why we exercise
  • The impact it has on our bodies
  • How our bodies function
  • Nutrition
  • Mindfulness
  • Inclusion of every ethnicity, shape or gender

By covering the main fundamentals to fitness such as strength, speed, stamina and flexibility – which is pitched at key stage level – this course has something for every child. It is an excellent way to engage and empower those children that may be otherwise disengaged and do little physical exercise. The course also teaches children British values.

Our mission is to give students self-confidence, self-belief and flexibility to give 100% in all school subjects and with resilience and a can-do attitude. It will help younger children understand more about the human body, how it works, how to look after it and that we are also equal irrespective of our body composition or gender. This will ease their self-consciousness, any anxieties around their bodies, help the to be confident about themselves and realise their  true potential.
